Standing Committees are internal committees required in the JCR Bylaws. Special and Auxiliary lists are outside affiliates of JCR. The State Central Committee list contains information for elected members from Congressional District 1.

School Board
Mission Statement
Inform Republican voters in Johnson County about what School Boards in their districts are doing.
Purpose Statement
School Boards should focus on providing educators with support and tools to teach reading, writing, arithmetic, civics, history, and STEAM. Many schools have strayed from this purpose.
Children are our future. This committee provides a call to action. Parents and adults must get involved and make their voices heard. Information is disseminated to a mailing list and a blog that has been created to keep parents informed of the activities of their school leaders. Parents are encouraged to attend School Board meetings and speak up.

A sub-committee of the Communications Committee
- Communicate with our elected officials.
- Inform the Central Committee about issues/concerns with our elected officials or what positive impacts our elected officials are having in our lives.
- Inform the CC of upcoming votes we should be aware and how to take action.
This committee was born of the need to hold our elected officials accountable. The committee researches proposed bills coming out of sub-committees and committees. We voice our opinions in these meetings via zoom and in emails. We also make it a point to thank the elected officials who are voting according to the Republican Platform of Iowa. We have been the silent majority for too long. It’s time to make our voices heard. Please let us know if you would like to be a part of this committee.
